Vintage 1970s First Edition Cassina Maralunga 4 Piece Sofa Set in Dusty-Rose Velvet

An exceptionally rare, complete first-edition Cassina Maralunga four-piece suite (3-seater sofa, 2-seater sofa, armchair, and ottoman). Designed by Vico Magistretti in 1973, this iconic Italian modernist design features signature flip-up headrest mechanisms for adaptable comfort. Upholstered in a original factory dusty-rose velvet with a plush, high-sheen pile, this suite brings timeless sophistication to any interior.

​Preserved in fantastic condition overall for its age, the set retains its original Cassina production labels.

​Condition Report:

​Headrest Mechanism: The internal mechanisms on all headrests function well. On one headrest on the three-seater sofa, the headrest folds smoothly into position, though one half of the backrest cushion has softened tension. It remains fully functional, but could be adjusted by a specialist if desired.

​Upholstery: Beautiful vintage condition throughout. One seat cushion features two faint, professional stitch repairs on one side; the cushion is fully reversible to display the pristine side. The cushion seats are interchangeable. 

​Patina: The ottoman displays gentle, uniform fading consistent with light sunlight exposure and genuine vintage age.
